Post-Game Talk: GAME 66 - THE BEAR doesn't want to hibernate - BRUINS 3 Florida 2

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
I am equal parts baffled and elated by this current team. This sudden “never say die” killer instinct “all for one” thing they seem to have going is a spark of excitement we haven’t seen the likes of this season.

who’d have thought a wild reshuffling of the cards would have lit such a fire under this group? 3 leaders gone, and now new leaders are born.

True, but those players were in a different situation.

Still, the 4 players traded were 4 of the bottom 6 on the Bruins.
Mittelstadt was -12 with Colorado, an objectively better team.

I just don't think your +/- premise is 100% solid. Obviously it's a rough way of looking at players who aren't playing well, and to that extent it matches the "eye test". But I don't think you need to sort the roster based on the +/- stats to see that Coyle, Freddy and Brazeau were not generating much offence. And on a team outside the playoff structure that's barely above .500 hockey, you're probably gonna have more minus players than plus players.

Fell asleep after the 2nd last night and watching on DVR.

They’ve got nothing to lose at this point. This last quarter of the season is a nice preview of what certain guys could look like moving forward, knowing that this club will look much different in October once they fill out the roster and guys get healthy.

I think they’re cooked in terms of the standings.

However, unpopular opinion, but if they respond and play reasonably well down the stretch, I might consider giving Sacco a chance moving forward.

I get it.

But Lohrei is generating offensive and he's -18. Marchand also.

But these were all the players that took the most heat from posters here. Only Lindholm was being roasted as much as those players and he's the other big minus (-7). Just seems the stat is in sync with the eye test for the most part.

Watching the "Snow Day Challenge" version of the game.

If I was a kid just learning about hockey I'd love it. Too bad regular broadcasts don't have some of the angles they're using here.
Does cartoon Zadorov go Super Saiyan on cartoon Bennett?

If they could win 7 or 8 in a row I think they make the playoffs. I still think their destiny is in their own hands. The problem is they have not been able to win consistently thus far . I’m not worried about the other teams ( perhaps I should be) , I’m not sure they can win enough. If they can beat Ottawa tomorrow night maybe they can get on a roll . It’s a pivotal game.

The thing is, both of these teams they just beat are legit playoff teams and have been playing really good hockey this season. The Bruins just need to get in the playoffs and then anything can happen…

Actually looks like a pretty sick show
This is a satirized version of the actual show, but yeah, DBZ has its high points...between a whole shitload of filler usually, but they're there.

Only anime i ever gave a shit about and watched to completion (yes, even the shitty Buu saga)
