Post-Game Talk: GAME 66 - THE BEAR doesn't want to hibernate - BRUINS 3 Florida 2

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
At this point I'm going to have to re-up NESN 360 for another month, I canceled it in a fit of rage a little while back but this is some fun hockey. Honestly the trades felt like a page-turner, and maybe the remaining players feel the same way? Its not like we traded a bunch of FA fodder, those trades were as much of a locker room reset as you can get in a single season. I still love Brad, but I want to see how the rest of the season unfolds before I go back to really wanting him back here next year.

Wow the Jackets and Rangers have BRUTAL schedules. Facing tons of good teams.

Habs have an easier schedule than them, but still get Florida twice, Ottawa three times, Avs, Canes twice, Toronto. Then some duds.

The door is open a crack here for us...
I think when they were talking about the remaining schedules, they said the Bruins had the 25th (may be a bit off) toughest schedule.

what’s killing me is as much as I want them to win I really like Frondell as a prospect around where they will pick. Just something about his game makes me believe he is going to be a great two way center. He has some good company

Anton Frondell (2025) with a 2-points game tonight has tied David Pastrnak for second-most points in a U18 season in HockeyAllsvenskan at 24 points

One current projection is Jake O'Brien - has been a machine on the power play. He leads the entire OHL with 49 points on the man advantage, and he has 32 goals and 93 total points on the campaign. The 6-foot-2 playmaking center would address a major organizational need in Boston.

I did the same thing with TSN . Although it is mostly Ottawa and Montreal games, I will have to add it back as I want to watch Thursday’s game.

I just went and read the GDT for the Panthers.

I mean, seriously, could there be a bigger collection of dickheads??

Like I said last night, when the trade was announced I boldly stated I'd root like hell for Marchy to win another Cup. My admiration for Marchy has done nothing but go up over the past few days -- and it started at a pretty high level.

However, rooting extremely hard for that group of cowardly steroid trolls to go down in flames.

And I'm not going to root for the Panthers, either.
Surprised there's any dialogue over there between a game of bridge, knitting and bingo. Hell, half of them still have original copies of the newspaper with the Titanic sinking on the front cover.

I mean, their idea of a race is to see who can get their socks on first without breaking a hip.

Figuratively? Probably not.
Literally? Shouldn’t be to hard to get 7 or 8 douchebags together

The last two games have been enjoyable, but I can honestly say I would have liked the way the team played hard for 60 whatever the results. I imagine they will come back to earth and it's still going to be tough going through the last bit of the season. I want the best possible draft position, but the die-hard fan in me loves it when they show up to play and gut it out against better teams the way they have against FLA and TB.

I don’t think they can continue to beat the better teams but the teams on a lower tier like Ottawa on Thursday they have a chance provided they bring the same energy . Will it be enough to get the last wildcard spot ? Not sure .

They need to find Casey better wingers. He is a nice passer . What about putting Lindholm with him and give him a chance to turn his year around offensively ?
I honestly think Sacco is seeing if he can get any extra effort from the
fact they are all Minnesotans. Sacco is one of the last Boston guys left who
played in era where there literally was a rivalry between Minnesota and Massachusetts.

I saw Sacco play for a Massachusetts HS All Star Team in Billerica at the end
of the 1985-86 HS season when he was a Junior at Medford HS with Donato
and I think Mike Sullivan. To show you how serious it was Herb Brooks was the
Minnesota HS Coach. Funny thing is Michigan with I think Kip Miller won the Tourney...lol.

This team has limited skill but man is it fun to watch a team that can play with some pace, effort, stick up for one another, knocked of two of the hottest teams who still have something to play for in the Bolts/Panthers

Their recent efforts remind me of the Lunchpale Gang which I was a little young to watch but have familiarized myself with over the years.

I will always cheer for the Bruins to win over a better draft position. I would love to see them squeak into the playoffs and gain that experience. A red hot goalie can cause fits for other teams. Swayman is capable of being red hot.

A cup is not in the cards this year but the fight is still going on. I also want Marchand back. We could very well make a leap up next year with a few moves.

Looking forward to Thursdays matchup.

boy, florida's fanbase became incredibly insufferable very quickly, at least here on HF, can't speak for the in game fans as I don't put effort into going down to that swampy shithole of a state

just an absurd amount of trolls for fans and all that after winning one cup after being a clown franchise for years. They're arguably worse than leaf fans because at least with the leafs they had a history to look back on and pine for

guarantee 75% of those clowns would evaporate if the panthers hit a 10 year shit streak like they did prior to a bunch of lottery picks and finally becoming relevant

Friendly reminder that a decade ago they were selling advertising rights for tarps that blocked the empty seats of the balcony :)

Well one thing is for sure, the likelihood of the Panthers leaving Floriduh in the next
20 years, is almost infinitely greater than Boston being without an NHL Team.
