I've never seen someone do something like that ever. Truly a unique sequence and super skilled in it's own way.He also had a mean streak when provoked, I'll never forget the Tucker elbow. Good times!
To be fair, is there any forward that was better than Kovalev the past 20 years?
Actually it bodes well for the post season. Slaf wouldn't be the first big body who seems to gain an extra gear when the games ramp up. He's on the perfect line for that he really doesn't have to look to far to find some inspiration.Yup, he's a f***ing beast. Wright is skilled, but soft as shit. We need Slafkovsky and we definitely need him to succeed.
He needs to figure out how to bring out second-half Slaf over the whole season, but Suzuki went through that, too. Often got off to solid starts, slumped mid-season then had a decent end.
Suzuki is better. Different, but more valuable and better well rounded. To be fair, is there any forward that was better than Kovalev the past 20 years?
Yeeeeeup. That's all the way in freaking Scarberia.

He's getting there. We all forget how young he is. Consistency takes time. Caufield and Suzuki are reaching for their potential at 23-24. Slaf is only, what? 20?Yup, he's a f***ing beast. Wright is skilled, but soft as shit. We need Slafkovsky and we definitely need him to succeed.

He's more important in his role, and the points are there now. He's a superior hockey player, but Kovalev had magical skill. They are different, as much as I loved Kovalev, still my favorite Hab post 93 cup win. But I think Suzuki is a better complete player. No way!
More complete isn’t necessarily better. He's more important in his role, and the points are there now. He's a superior hockey player, but Kovalev had magical skill. They are different, as much as I loved Kovalev, still my favorite Hab post 93 cup win. But I think Suzuki is a better complete player.
Last time would have been the 2007-2008-2009. Ryder, Kostitsynx2, Higgins, Plekanec, Markov, Komisarek, Grabovsky, Locke, D'Agostini, Kovalev, Koivu... Future was bright!I love this young team! We haven't had young guns like this in for ever, + Demidov and Reinbacher! Future is bright
