  • HFBoards is doing server maintenance Thursday March 13th at 9 AM GMT 5 AM EDT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

lol Suzuki most ES TOI. On PK1, PP1, PP2. Really f***ing smart to not get any player to help this deadline. Just run Nick to the ground.
I'm sure Suzuki appreciated Hughes' generous reward. The funny thing is that Marty genuinely needs to play him more, at least 25 minutes a night, until the end of the season if we want a chance at the playoffs. Lines 2-4 are arguably worse than lines 2-4 from the Hawks and Sharks, and the defense is struggling with no Guhle. Add in the fact that goaltending is far from reliable at all times. We need to play that top line like they are Matthews/Marner/Nylander.

this team just doesn't show emotion. I know slaf has been good recently, but that last play the kraken player has his head down going around the net and slaf just sticks his stick out...lay the f***ing guy out damn were soft

As expected, Habs come out flat and stay that way for the entire period.

They looked tired, and manhandled physically. They’re very fortunate it’s only 1-0, as Seattle had several high quality scoring chances and the Habs didn’t mount enough pressure to break an egg.

If this is all you can muster when you’re desperately trying to make the playoffs, something is seriously wrong.

Vibes are definitely off. Even the top line can't connect on a quick play.

That said, Seattle isn't some defensive stalwart and they're only down one goal.

Maybe this is harsh, but they look more like a team going through the motions than a team desperate for a playoff spot.
Maybe they just tired. These poor baby boys have been going at it since the 4 nations faceoff. Need a break now.

Absolutely terrible 1st period. Dobes is getting shelled. No one is in position defensively. No shots getting blocked. Slot belongs to Seattle, like what the f*** Montreal.

There's terrible defensive players on each of lines 2-4.

Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsky
Heineman - Evans - Roy
Anderson - Dvorak - Gallagher
Laine - Suzuki/Evans - Newhook

Bench Pezz again.

D needs to be much, much better. They're getting cycled down low with ease.

looked exactly like that first vs Calgary. What did 72 get whistled for? Strong hockey play? The other 3 lines are going to have to somehow step up and help suzuki's line. yeah right.
the guys who can hit need to start doing that. not sure what the f*** Pezz is doing out there; if he's not hitting and agitating, he's useless. All his other buddies are just going through the motions

Rough period for Slaf this reminds me of that horror show earlier this season.
The only difference is the posts.
Seattle seem like they have a boatload more talent than we do.
We are not even close to getting inside that D.
