GDT: Game 65: Montreal @ Seattle, March 12, 10:30 PM ET | TSN2, RDS, KHN, KING 5, KONG

  • HFBoards is doing server maintenance Thursday March 13th at 9 AM GMT 5 AM EDT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.

I have made my peace with Jack being good defensively but at least when he came in, he could skate and play offensively and was much more of a menace and was dirty. Now he's a good boy and cannot contribute added to his poor defensive play.

I don't think his return was why Carrier was lights out for us, why the 4th line was excelling, and why Matheson looked like a top pairing dman next to Hutson.

It's no coincidence that all of this happened exactly when he came back. The whole team got a massive confidence boost and opposing teams had trouble handling the constant offensive pressure from four lines. There's no way the team has the record they had during the win streak without Laine.

Vibes are definitely off. Even the top line can't connect on a quick play.

That said, Seattle isn't some defensive stalwart and they're only down one goal.

Maybe this is harsh, but they look more like a team going through the motions than a team desperate for a playoff spot.
