Spooner is flying under Cassidy. Total 180.

Where are the Clode lovers who thought Spooner was going to be nothing but a PP specialist and we should trade him for a bag of pucks.
3 wins in a row for Dobby
Big 2 pts vs a lesser team.
Stafford looked ok.
Good thing about this game is I expect better finish vs Sens
Truthfully. Not to sure what to think with Spooner looking more engaged since Cassidy.
Happy he's playing better but also a bit frustrated he wasn't showing the same engagement earlier in the season.
Still not sold.
As I worked tonight, so too did I miss this game.
Why was a goal overturned and was it legit?

He kinda dug a hole with me as a fan.
He's competing harder lately - but I highly doubt Julien was saying 'Don't compete'. If he wasn't working as hard because of his coach then I'm not too thrilled.
Going to take a bit of time for me to get back on board as I still have my doubts.
(will he stop trying as hard the second Cassidy does something he doesn't think works perfectly for him?)
Hope he continues to prove me wrong.
lol So you are happy he is playing better under Cassidy than he was under Julien and you are somehow confused by this despite the fact that it has been widely publicized that he was always in Julien's doghouse??? LOl
Julien was clearly misusing him and obviously confusing him. Sometimes you just have to let skill players use their skill and I think Cassidy knows this. Blaming Spooner for this seems ridiculous to me. Give credit where credit is due.

I hope he keeps it up. But it's going to have to be more than a handful of games for me.
The skill is there - for sure - but lots of players are skilled and can't put in the work and effort to take it to the next level. That's on the player.
to bad it was not on the devils 2-1 when they scoredThanks and thanks EON for posting the video.
Weird.
I haven't been able to find a Tweet of it, but here is the video on nhl.com https://www.nhl.com/news/bruins-goal-overturned-after-devils-coachs-challenge/c-287384828
Stafford was going for the puck, which was under Schneider's pad. In poking at the puck, he also caught pad.
Watching it in real time, I believe it's a goal.
I really dislike how every time a goal is scored now, especially close in - I have to temper my enthusiasm because of the challenge.
If memory serves, it was a non-call when Dwight King 'interfered' with Lundqvist in the Cup Final in 2014 that got the conversation started on this? Like with the toe nail being offside negating goals, I don't think a league starved for goals envisioned all the ticky-tack things that not only get challenged, but get reversed.
In my opinion, it's a blight on the game.
Nice to see stafford has found a new home! Best of luck to that classy dude as well to the Bruins!
Thank you for the response and the video.
I tend to use as my BS meter, if it happened the other way around (that was a goal against the Bruins), would I feel it was just?
That's a play I wouldn't have even asked for a review of. Easy call. It's a goal. We've seen that play a hundred times over the years without it being questioned.
A blight is right. I don't understand this call.
As I worked tonight, so too did I miss this game.
Why was a goal overturned and was it legit?
At 10:21 of the second period in the Devils/Bruins game, New Jersey requested a Coach's Challenge to review whether Drew Stafford interfered with Devils goaltender Cory Schneider prior to his goal.
After reviewing all available replays and consulting with NHL Hockey Operations staff, the Referee determined that Stafford interfered with Schneider before the puck crossed the goal line. According to Rule 78.7, "The standard for overturning the call in the event of a 'GOAL' call on the ice is that the Referee, after reviewing any and all available replays and consulting with the Toronto Video Room, determines that the goal should have been disallowed due to 'Interference on the Goalkeeper,' as described in Rules 69.1, 69.3 and 69.4."
Therefore the original call is overturned - no goal Boston Bruins.
Since the Coach's Challenge resulted in the original call being overturned, the New Jersey Devils retain their time-out.
