I'll take the point. Team was in pure turtle mode since they tied the game.

LA is going to be another easy out for the Oilers though. That team is not good enough to be elite in the west.

Im rooting for a competitive tank, i want us to stay in games and stay in the race till the final week or two of the season. We can get the experience of meaningful games, but im hoping we drop out of it at the end. Im rooting for pick 13 or 14. I realize how easy our schedule is.

Blues +1 tonight

What they are going through together late this season will help them be more ready to be a winning team next season, and on their way to become a true Cup contender in a few years.

I can see wishing for a top 5 or 10 pick this draft….but that is why it makes no sense to root against playoffs at this point. Pick 13 or pick 20…neither will make a difference for this club in the next three years. Probably more like four or five. Meanwhile Thomas, Buch, Kyrou, Holloway, Colt, Broberg and Binny all get older. Strike the pig iron in front of you while it is hot instead of wishing for spring steel.

Two teams were able to move up from a similar spot last year in SJ and Minny. I want to claim one final top half of the draft stud before we go on a 8 year playoff run. I have my reasons. If we continue to build out through youth we should start peaking in 2-4 seasons and that aligns perfectly when Dallas and Colorado are gonna start aging out. Whomever we get this draft will absolutely have a chance to be in on our core when we really start making noise.

Great gutsy game. The boys were gassed but they battled and made sacrifices.

All this talk of tanking is stupid.

They will not tank. They are playing their best hockey. I'd rather have that than some pathetic show on ice just to get someone a few spots higher in the draft.
