And yet we are where we are because the vets on this team acted like petulant 5-year-olds for a month and a half. If they even played .500 hockey from mid-November until the end of December, we're in 3rd place in the Metro.

I wonder how much was it acting like a petulant child and how much it was some players falling off a cliff. Particularly guys that were already hanging on to the ledge. As mediocre as our D is right now, we used to have Trouba and Lindgren as two top 4 guys. Lindgren was here until recently, but it's easier to hide one guy especially with a guy like Fox, than 2 guys in the top 4. Then you have Kreider who still sucks. Mika, is just an emo player like Igor and he needed to play with a top 10-15 center in the NHL as a winger to find his game. The entire Panarin line has been worse this year. And Panarin is heating up but he's still just a very good offensive player and not all world like he was last year. There's no way they should have been 4-15. But it was one of those things where everyone's game fell off at the same time.
