Laffy has become comical again if you just zone on him and watch him only throughout his shifts. Legit prefer to see otter on the ice than the orgs golden boy laffy.
Is he even the golden boy? He doesn't seem to get hyped/marketed by the team much at all (not that there's been much to hype), which is weird for a #1oa.
He also doesn't seem to hype himself. He's the ultimate grey man on and off the ice

It's amazing how after so long this team still does not have an actual breakout structure to break a forecheck. There's not actual plan other than rim it up the boards or try a stretch pass.
The onboarding video they use is still from the AV era.

There's gotta be some coaching issue here. I watch the Panarin line just dump it into the corner with some generic 1 man fetch approach, automatic turnover the other way. It makes no sense. It happens all the time. There is no structure for just controlled zone entries. Our coach's system is adverse to trying that because he doesn't want the chance of a rush the other way. It completely ignores the opportunities generated from controlled zone entries. At the very least our skill lines should be doing that. It's stupid
