Tarasenko what was it 11 years with the same team? IT TAKES TIME for these guys to join a new team have new line mates live somewhere new. This isn’t a video game where you trade for players and the edit lines feature tells you whether the chemistry is good on a line. Sometimes shit just clicks for players on a new team, consider it luck and the exception not the rule.

I'm starting to agree with @EdJovanovski. I don't care what their record is when they're unwatchable. And it's not an Islanders "suck the life out of the game" unwatchable. They play like the Islanders offensively but their opponents skate circles around them. At least the Islanders had an identity. What does this team do well?

The Rangers seem particularly good at missing the net.

With the amount of offensive talent this roster has, they should be clogging up the ice and suffocating the opposition defensively, there'd be no way for the other team to outscore us, they'd get frustrated and put us on the PP often. Gallant needs to coach this team to trap.

Earlier in the game, we had a player 1 on 3 entering their zone, dumped in deep and all 3 players in their zone skaters in the direction of the player to prevent an easy dump and chase puck retrieval. Yet we can't defend anybody entering our zone.
