Wow, bummer. I wonder if Jarmo regrets not getting more defensive help now.
He knew both Toots and Murray would be out for the rest of the season and didn't want to trade a 3rd round pick for a top 4 guy. He is either a bad evaluator of talent (Savard) or doesn't care about this season.

I wouldn't say he doesn't care about this season but the mash unit defense as it is now doesn't give much hope of landing a playoff spot.

What top 4 guy was available for a 3rd rounder?

Schultz is a 6/7 and he cost a 5th rounder, some people consider Andrew Macdonald a top 4, and he cost a 2nd and a 3rd rounder. I don't see it.

I'm curious. Please share your source that says that Tyutin is out for the rest of the season.

He's like a freaking double-agent, sabotaging the Jackets season on behalf of some communist nation!

Europe. Somewhere.
Preds have the 6th-fewest points in the league. Games don't come much easier; the Jackets damn sure better take advantage. The Flyers and Leafs play each other, the Lightning host the Bruins, could be a great night to really get ourselves in the mix.

This is the exact kind of thinking that tends to sink this team. Hopefully the guys don't look at this as "easy points." No nights off, especially when playing in Nashville, a place where we have struggled historically.

Atkinson can't spell "consistency".

Yeah, but he can put the puck in the back of the net. So until they replace the shootout with a spelling bee, I think we'd be better off with him in our lineup than out of it.
