Not to be a burrowsaurus, but has there been one game in the last few weeks where they've clearly been the better team?

I just want to see them thoroughly outplay a team while Ullmark plays like he did tonight instead of having to either come back from behind or just get outright lucky. Maybe that happens tomorrow.
We were clearly better than the rangers,

Ullmark was incredible. I like Perron on the PP, not so much at 5v5. Cozens and Batherson play fast, get Zetterlund up there tomorrow.

Can we call up MacEwen to replace Highmore?
I don't think they can recall anybody and finish the year cap compliant, but I might be wrong. Outside of injuries I think these are the 12 forwards they're going with.

If they make the playoffs I don't think Highmore will stick then.

We’re a team competing for a wildcard. That means we’re dead in the middle of the league.

Obviously tonight was super sloppy, but there’s probably not too many teams we’re going to dominate at this point in the season. A win is a win is a win.

Ah… can he trip getting onto the charter tonight?

Zetterlund needs to get up with Cozens and Batherson. He plays fast and tenacious, he’ll fit in well there.

I think Perron would be good with Pinto and Grieg. He can make plays down low and cycle the puck very well, that’s where that line plays.

Amadio is the one to take the undeserved fall to the depths of hell with Gaudette and Highmore.

Agreed. You can also give Perron a few shifts off a period and slide Amadio up to give him a bit more ice.

Cousins is on LTIR, so I think we can, we could also send Highmore or Gaudette down and call up Crookshank, Reinhardt or MacEwen who all have identical cap hits.

Detroit played a great game tonight. They were desperate and absolutely needed to get a W there.

Ottawa got a win they didn't deserve, but it's karma for some of the games they played earlier in the year where the same happened to them.

Staois bringing in Ullmark, Cozens, and Perron this season is smiling.

Greig was really good too. Green having him take the most critical face-off of the game says something. Holy crap though, I knew I heard the buzzer before the puck went in but seeing the Red Wings celebrate like they did gave me some doubt.

So we broke their spirits again, just not in a the way we hoped. That has to be an absolutely crushing loss, I think that's the 3rd game of their 6 game losing streak where they basically doubled the opposition in shots.

we have a million in cap so we can call someone up if needed

we wont be able to keep 13 forwards because if cousins come back then we run out of LTIR room and it gets tricky

if a move was to be made it would have to be after the flyers game so we would have a day to waive highmore and then can call someone up

rosters expand after the deadline

NHL Roster Expansion Rules
The National Hockey League (NHL) has specific rules regarding roster expansion during the season. After the trade deadline, which is typically in the first week of March, teams are allowed to have an unlimited active roster at the NHL level, provided players are signed to one of the team's 50 contract slots.
This means teams can expand their active roster beyond the usual 23-player limit to accommodate for injuries or other emergencies.
However, during the playoffs, teams are limited to four non-emergency call-ups.
