Kids line with a CF% of 100. Kakko has 7 minutes through 2 periods. I get we’ve got the new guys, but that doesn’t change which line is our most responsible and built for a team like this.
i mean, i would agree, but have you watched kakko and chytil tonight? It's not been their best. Chytil was a big reason for the first GA. And Kakko is overthinking, playing in slow motion out there. If he was playing hard, aggressive, skating all out, I would be with you. But his game has been off for a bit now and today it's been more apparent that he needs to find another level or two. I"m a big Kakko fan, but these stretches drive me nuts because I know he has so much more to give.

Dude, I'm talking about 2023 with the Rangers. Kane is an all time great, but it's not Chicago and it's not 2016. And I don't forget MSL was a bust until the playoffs. He wasn't amazing in the playoffs either just better than the regular season and scored one big goal against Takarsky.
SERIOUSLY????? He was the reason we beat the Pens despite being down 3 games to 1 and was a big reason we made it to the Cup finals.

We will not win a series against a team like the Bruins. They push our guys around and get away with way too much interfering. It's worse in the playoffs.
Go to the front of the effing net please!!!

Agreed on all points, but...is that the type of team the Rangers built? I am skeptical.

Yeah but first of all that was in the 80s and second of all those shots probably came with screens in front from the likes of Denis Potvin not Ben Harpur.
Regardless, the concept is the same. Guys pass up shots and it's ingrained in their thinking. Mika demonstrated that tonight.

It's a terrible way to play the game

Kane was a point per game for the 2020 bubble Blackhawks who beat McDavid and the Oilers.

He was a 93 point guy last year with Strome and DeBrincat. His numbers suffered this season because of his slight hip thing, the garbage fire state of the tanking Hawks, the constant trade rumors, and his linemates being Domi and whoever.

Lets not forget, Domi was having a fantastic season playing with Kane.

Although its pretty clear Kane said NY or no where, he even said when it came down to the last piece, him officially waiving the NMC to come here, even that was still hard when he had already told CHI this was the only spot he'd come.

It's a lot going on, and it has been the whole season and especially the last week. Give Kanes offense and game some time.

Betting against the field is almost always foolish in pro sports but I think they're as close to a sure bet as you'll find.

They're literally the only good team.
You're saying something is foolish while also saying it's almost a lock.

The team is playing better than the doom and terror of this thread implies lol.

Also I'm not going to front. Its an early March regular season game for a team comfortably in the playoffs. I honestly don't care that much anymore lol.

We are not that comfortably in the playoff spot. Those teams keep winning and if we keep on this losing streak we are only like 8 points on Pittsburgh.

So yes while we will HOPEFULLY comfortably make the playoffs we need to get our guys back healthy and some practices in. Hopefully next week we can bring our A game.

Pitt could be back only 4 points next time we start hockey again,.

It's amazing the amount of laziness on display in these intermission broadcasts. There's a lot of interesting things that COULD be discussed during intermission that just don't happen because the entire team behind the broadcasts is lazy. How about letting us know a little bit more about what contributed to the original Panarin/Kane chemistry? How were they positioned on the Blackhawks PP? How much time did they actual spend playing together at even strength? Who was their most frequent centerman? This time could be used so much more wisely but they just don't want to put the work in so we get Subban rambling about nothing in particular.
