Habs will own them like always

Habs fans held demonstrations over not keeping Kovalev and hiring Cunneyworth, it’s time to march on the ouster of the medical staff. There’s no shame in retiring at age 83, Dr Mulder…

Guhle is injured again, I hope it won t be a recurring issue
Goes to show how important a player like Arber is for us,I don't expect him to fight everyone but it's nice to have someone who keeps other teams from running at our players. We did go after Zegras pretty good during the Anaheim game which was nice,go after are young stars and we will do the same.If Edmundson can stay healthy his punishing style also keeps other teams somewhat honest.

This is a mistake to recall a local AHLer player. This reminds me the Houle years and it doesn't feel great.

Also heads will need to roll in the medical staff at the end of the season.

How is it a mistake? It’s just on an emergency basis and they’re short of bodies due to injuries.

Granted, Allard only has one NHL game to his credit but this is not the Zamboni driver being brought in. The kid is a pro, his minutes will be managed and this game is not particularly detrimental to the standings.

Logistically, it makes the most sense. It also makes for a neat story. The only reason Allard was still in California, as per Anthony Marcotte, is on account of his dog.

Allard tried to book a flight the day before so he could join the Rocket but the airline did not have space for his dog to travel with him. So Allard ended up staying in California an extra day. And that’s when the Habs called on him.

Anyone wants to sell on why I should watch the game?
I think it's pathological at this point.

Given what happened to ALL Habs promising rookies this season (Harris doesn't count, he is not promising), do we still like Hugo? I mean what else needs to happen for them to can the medical team and training team?

I still like Hughes, I’m not sure what Gorton does anymore. I’d like Gorton more if he’d be more available for interviews as I enjoy listening to his takes.

That said, you left out the most important part — what kind of feeling are you having about this game?

The Dr Mulder meme last game was hilarious please repost

Everyone expects a loss tonight so it's probably going to be a big W. For the culture!

Cooper benches top line last game, calls them out…and team shows up today with 4 shots and down 2-0 after 1 period.

They are not getting out of 1st round imo.

Another great pass by KK. 2 assists now.

Tampa getting beaten up. Hedman and Kucherov. Nice to see it.

Truthfully, from a hockey-perspective, an executive shouldn‘t have to talk; it’s more of a GM task who also doesn’t talk as much as the ones in the mud such as the coaches and players.

I do think it’s collaborative between Gorton and Hughes. Gorton probably handles the administrative stuff; analytics hiring and direction, how to develop the internal departments and who to hire, how the club operates and so on. Hughes is responsible for the on-ice product; tell scouts what to look for, provide direction to coaches and development staff, signings and trades.

All that said, I agree that it’d be nice to hear Gorton speak more. Guessing he’ll be there for the end of year presser.

Can't really blame some fluke injuries on the medical staff. They can't prevent broken feet or shoulder injuries from hits or fights... The injury situation is ridiculous, granted, but come on.

I think it's definitely possible they have a role in the outcome. We don't know from the outside but I'd hope they are investigating standard practice.

For example, Guhle getting hurt isn't on the training staff, but him coming back out after the intermission only to play a few shifts grimacing in pain and getting up slowly, only to then be out afterwards is indicative of mismanagement.

Then you factor in how unlikely it would be for any team to have such a statistical gap from the league average for two years straight, and it tells me that there is some underlying issue and it's not all up to bad luck.
