Toronto
Engvall is a better player than Lafferty.
Agreed, but again.. People are complaining about lack of offence, they need to get used to this. Toronto got players that play fast, grindy and can play north and south, with the hopes of chipping in a few garbage goals around the net.

It's going to be up to the big boys and solid d to win games down the stretch and in the playoffs. But HFLeafs has been asking for a lineup like this for a while, tougher and harder to play against.

This is just one of those games where the boys need to keep doing what they are doing and grind it out. Just like the Flames games.
But I don't think Rielly should keep doing what he's doing.

He needs to be stapled to Brodie or Schenn.

Lots of successful teams have had less offensive skills than the Leafs but they had compete, defensive awareness and played a system implemented by a great coach.
Leafs have a talented top 6 but in a cap system their level of talent is unlikely to ever be so superior that it will trump hard working, gritty players.

This offensive system makes no sense to me....wayyyyyyyy to cute. What was that three way drop pass that Bunting ended and it led to the 2-1 the other way? Pat Quinn would turn in his grave.

Not trying to be rude and also understand kids want to be on TV with signs but don’t hold the sign when the puck is in play.

Playoff hockey is all that matters …
