Honestly, f*** anyone who would oppose a gesture/supportive option for a Dad awaiting the birth of their child. As Brent Sutter was quoted many many years ago, some things are bigger than the game - fatherhood is one of them.

It's not that you took anyone else, it's just the type of depth players we added, less skillful like Pierre and added more grit and north/south type of hockey.

I love that the negative narrative was that the Leafs "traded away all of their picks" and then it was anger for adding a replacement pick.

Get used to it, everyone on this forum complained we needed gritter forwards and more north south forwards, this is what your going to get, grindy hockey games were you try to win 2-1 and 3-2. This is how they will try to win in the playoffs.

I know, I appreciate grit but they need more offense from the 3rd line and they didn't acquire that unless ROR ends up there come playoff time.
