MacKinnon needs to stop trying to pass to the wingers when he enters. He can beat the forwards, use your speed to go wide and either pull up on the wall by yourself or skate it around the net to buy some time and space.

Way too easy to defend the entries.

The Avs consistently put themselves in a 1 v 2 or a 2 v3 situation entering the zone on a PP and against the Kings tonight it simply just isn’t working. They need to do something else, anything else, but try to beat 2 or 3 guys by stick handling through them. The entire team can’t be that blind… can they?

The Avs top PP unit has been disgustingly bad tonight.

Then again, the 2nd unit has been only slightly less bad. Kings just out work and trap the Avs. Stupid is as stupid does and the Avs playing some stupid hockey.

When was the last time its looked dangerous against a decent team? November?

Sling shot into the zone and immediately pass it to the player waiting on the boards by the blue line. The exact same f***ing thing every entry it's no wonder we can't set up for shit. We're as predictable the f***ing sun rise.

I don’t know if it’s just the casualness of the Avs or Bennett, but the amount of standing around aimlessly during the PP drives me insane. Great PP units use movement to take advantage of the odd man situation. The Avs make it easy, they have the puck carrier moving and the obvious target moving, everyone else stands still

If the Kings are going to force you to stick handle through 3 or 4 players at their blue line then dump it in, forecheck like banshees, get the puck, and set it up. It’s not that difficult.

Mackinnon has 2 goals off a one timer from that spot of the ice all season on the PP. 2. Thats all but they are going to try it again and again.

Makar and Toews no longer shoot from the point on the PP anymore. It has to be coaching. No way these guys would just give up taking shots and I doubt Mikko and/or MacK are telling them to "feed me and don't shoot".
