For a league that makes millions of dollars each year, one would think they would have more durable sticks. I'm surprised we haven't advanced technology enough to have sticks that can withstand pucks coming at them fast. The worst is when a player is winding up for a shot and the stick just breaks for no reason.

Part of that is that players are moving towards insanely whippy sticks.

they had more durable sticks. Then everyone abandoned them because stick companies want to sell you $300 carbon-fiber that explodes if you look at it funny. Better for them that the league goes through 200 composite sticks per player per year at $300 a pop than 80 wood sticks at $50 a pop.
