Seguin has such outstanding offensive instincts amazing he only had 1 goal in over 20 playoff games in 2013

Clode was the coach. If he wasn't the second overall pick, he might not have gotten any ice time. Anyways, he scored the goal that mattered, right? I wonder, under Cassidy, what would he be capable of?

Just take a look at him this game at how he plays the center position. People are right about the 200 foot game comment. He's not going to dig it out of the half wall or win the corner boards. However, his shot is better, his passing is better, better stick work, and a better skater. Pasta looks really good right now, and Dallas is really helping that argument with their **** poor first period.

Just a total different team. The confidence and drive are huge right now.

It's fun to watch this Claude-less Bruins team, and it looks like the players are actually having some fun too.

They seem to have more confidence, energy and imagination since Claude and his boring system left town.

...and what a beauty goal by the Marchand-Bergy-Pasta line.

Exciting game so far. Love Backes setting the tone right off the draw.

Not to dive into the negative, but man how many times has Schaller turned that puck over in his own zone? I counted at least 4-5 times. Dom Moore stick handles himself into a pretzel every time he gets the puck and then gets bumped off. We need more from that unit.

Loving the Vatrano/Spooner/Hayes line.

I cant stand the swedish studio and commentators (which im forced to watch this game..)
Theyve called Backes Bostons captain (the apologized for that later on).
They showed a play on how good Pastrnak has become at playing in both ends. They showed him first in his own zone sending a pass up ice. Except it wasnt Pastrnak, it was Kevan Miller...
They said before the game that Boston represent hard play and grit. (3 years ago, sure).

LA has a progressive fourth line concept, where they are actually playing guys who have a chance of being promoted. Our fourth line is made up of guys whose only job is "don't get scored on." As long as that philosophy persists, we are going to see guys like Schaller. They are just there to keep the bench warm anyways until the 2015 draft picks are ready.

Good post.. You got me thinking about it. I was shocked that they traded Seguin, it was a bad trade and a big mistake. I get upset just thinking about it.

Just catching the game

C. Miller healthy scratch?

He hasn't been good in the past 2 game

Just when you thought he was getting it... inconsistent right now

he needs to play more aggressively on the defensive and offensive end

I'd like to see our 4th line of Vatrano Spooner Hayes get some more ice time

Only had 3 shifts in the 1st

I like that Cassidy left Pasta on the Bergy line after that magic. Wonder if he'll roll with it for rest of game and moving forward or go back to Backes there

Id rather he go back with Krejci, that kine with he and Cehlarik have been lights out. Dallas D will have a nightmare with those 3

Doesn't help that the expansion requirements are probably keeping some of these guys off the waiver wire, considering the Bruins need at least 3 out of Belesky/Hayes/Nash/Schaller for expansion.

The 4th line will get progressively younger as they move forward in the coming years.

I fully anticipate guys like DeBrusk and Heinen breaking in on the 4th line next year.

Amazing how much better (and more entertaining) the Bruins are when you give the players a little of space to be creative and use their gut.

why does McQuaid always pin on the boards when he chases the puck back into his boards and then have 2 guys on him rather than move it???
