GDT: Game 62/82 Blues @ Dallas 5PM CST TNT TRUTV MAX

  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
Things I have learned:

1. Whoever coaches the PK should be shot into the sun.
2. Seeing 30+ SOG games with a loss is a problem with coaching. Monty, you suck. Do better.
3. Blame folks like Kyrou all we want, but the boy should have rode pine the rest of the game, like Hofer. Play the boys who are clicking, sit the ones who ain't til they give enough of a damn to show up, focus and work. Again, Monty, you and your coaches suck.
4. As bad as a loss that looked, we were rocking, just had the wrong groups on the ice. Again, Monty, ice what works best, not by the damn names. Make them earn ice time.

In Empty Net I Trust
Let's Go Blues!

Unfortunate but predictable. Had this one marked as an L.

Team is buzzing, just nailed the post that would have tied it and Kyrou is standing still in the offensive zone

He was not standing still in the O-zone. If you would actually watch instead of burying your head here to shit talk him, he skated into the boards to cutthe puck off, he stopped AT the boards and spun around because the puck bounced around him, when he spun that is when the trip happened. before you even start in the next penalty he took, everyone thats not obsessed with hating him can clearly see that it was a terrible call by the ref.

I have no problem calling him out because yes he can be frustrating but the least you could do is make your call outs accurate.

When you put a single player under a microscope because of blind hatred and do everything you can you find a flaw you will find one.

Blind hatred lol. How dramatic.

Frustrating game that we should have won. Slow start + bad discipline + crap PK + Hofer sucking = loss.

Kinda sucks to lose a game against a tough team on the road when you played better for 90% of the game.

So much negativity in here for the team's first regulation loss in almost 4 weeks.

The goalies weren't great, the PK was further from great, we were playing a top 5-10 team in the league, we were in the 2nd half of a home/road B2B against a team who had the previous night off, and their top 10 goalie played like it. This is the NHL and these games are going to happen. Usually with some degree of regularity. I'm genuinely baffled that people can watch that game and come to the conclusion that the result was anyone's 'fault' or is an indictment of any larger-scope issue.

We are going to make the playoffs if the skaters play exactly like that 20 more times and the goalies play the way they've been playing over the last couple months. Last night was certainly frustrating, but it was very much a 'those are going to happen' kind of loss.

I was actually pretty heartened by last night's game. One of the major concerns I've had with this roster under multiple head coaches is our inability to stick to our game and dig deep when we get scored on first. We've been one of, if not the, worst team in the league when getting scored on first, by both the W/L record as well as the eye test.

Last night wasn't pretty, but we didn't fold. We didn't stop playing our game. We came within an inch of tying it up 4-4 when Fowler hit that post, and then yes, in the last 7 or so minutes the gas tank got empty and we couldn't kill a penalty.

If we play like this for the last six weeks of the season we make the playoffs, and then we get to see what kind of magic Binny and the rest can conjure up. Let's get back on track against LA.
