Stauffer and Gage couldn’t have made it any clearer during the intermission that the Oilers management believes Stuart Skinner is their man and they have no intention of trading him this season. That convinced me this team is missing the playoffs.
We are sitting at 74 points right now. This seems like it could be a down year in the Western Conference so it’s possible that the playoff line could be as low as 92 points this year (it’s usually higher). It’s hard for me to look at what we’ve seen from this team over the last 10-15 games and see where the 9 more wins we are going to need are going to come from. It’s one thing to struggle and lose games but we haven’t even been competitive in most of them. We could be looking at a really ugly 6 weeks to finish the season.

It's up to the tier 1 fans and media to make Oilers management change their mind.
A loud booing of Skinner will change their mind in a hurry..the boos chased plenty other goalies out of town in past, Dubnyk, Talbot , Koski etc

Maybe the problem isn’t the goaltending…. Maybe it’s the culture, goalie coaches, defensive coaching…
This feels like a players only meeting type game. Hoping they pull their collective heads out of their asses.
