Our bottom 6 is pathetic. The Henrique Brown Janmark line is just so bad it hurts. Can't believe we gave up Holloway for these bumsI just do not get the sense of entitlement with these clowns. Before this atrocious slide, they were in first place. Then they decide to put it in park, thinking they had it made, and have *completely* abandoned the principles of sound defensive coverage, being dialed into the details and prepared to play. They have been absolute jokes, losing to bottom tier teams booking tee off times for the spring and still turned in no effort when they should be comfortably beating these opponents.
Those are some strange looking figures. Ducks had several situations where they are passing the puck around the edge of our crease just looking for an empty net. Reminiscent of how the Caps were schooling us. Ducks had a lot of danger scoring chances in that period.Expected goals 1.39 to 0.58 for Edmonton per money puck, and 1.27 to 0.53 for Edmonton per natural stat trick.
Lol.
They can't ignore this, right?
Goaltending is by far the biggest issue, and it’s not even close. They've been terrible. They also had a breakaway and a wide open chance of off a McDavid pizza towards the end of the period.
I don't know if this is a funk they're in anymore, they might just be not a good team. Goaltending sucks but a lot of other aspects suck too.

And we as oilers fans have seen this plenty of times the last 15 years, this team has definitely lost the “Faith” in their Netminders this seasonIf you can’t trust your goalies to make simple saves it affects your play.
But yeah let’s rake Ekholm and McDavid over the coals instead of a career journeyman goaltender and whatever Skinner is.
Yep. So people not remember this team when we had Talbot whose game was allowing the 1st shot on goal constantly. We would go on some heater in a game come out blazing with chances the other goalie makes a few good saves and Talbot would allow shots that were barely clearing attempts and then the team would crumble.
It’s hard to play when every shrug of a chance ends up in the back of your net.
This is a team that’s given up on their goalies.
Knoblauch has too. That’s probably why he hasnt pulled him.
Passing the puck close to the net isn’t a high danger chanceThose are some strange looking figures. Goalies allowing bad goals isn’t a team issue. Goalies shouldn’t be allowing goals that are routine saves for 60 other goalies in the leaguethey keep happening...its a team issue. Yes we need better goalies, but the team is also letting this happen with efforts like this. They are't committed to playing hard hockey, they are easy to play against, play soft and perimeter hockey. A new goalie doesn't help in games like this, or the Philadelphia and washington games. The answer needs to be in the room first, the players need to look in the mirror and decide if they want to win or not.
Its bigger than goaltending now.
This management group should have no loyalty to these goalies anyway. Not even “their guys”.Any other serious organization would put their pride aside and grab a goalie.
f*** off with this nonsense. Draisaitl has been killing it all year and literally got his hand pushed on that pass.To bad we have the dumbest leadership group in the league, giving a team life by just passing it to them infront of our net.
Hopefully skinner yells at Leon when he got off the ice
Someone needs to update the subtitles here to reflect our current goaltending crisis...
There are even teams who get a goalie even if they like their guy. Having a strong tandem is not just a luxury, or a waste. Teams like Washington and Vegas won it all with serious goalie optionsAny other serious organization would put their pride aside and grab a goalie.

It’s almost like they take after this fraud of a coachThat's exactly it. This is a low energy team that is also now older and slower after last season, the difference between this season and the last 2 is noticeable. That was their peak, the '22-'23 and '23-'24 season. This is now a team past its prime IMO.
I guess the thing is that Connor Brown is useless all the f***ing time and both seasons he's been here, and continually. The otehr players mentioned are allstar players that generally make a positive difference.Half a dozen other players have made just as bad if not worse mistakes this period including McDavid, Drai and Bouchard. Not sure if we can single out one dumdum this game. Pickard would be it if picking one.
5v5 high danger chances were 3-2 for us, Pickard allowed 4.Passing the puck close to the net isn’t a high danger chance
I don't really have any hate, just how I saw things. Why am I not allowed to rag on a player that's not playing?Must have a lot of hate to make nonsensical posts. The guy isn't even playing and you still rag on him.
The team has been terrible since late January, are you denying this?Goaltending is by far the biggest issue, and it’s not even close.
