How could it possibly be anything else, there are zero good playmakers on that line. 3 players who can't pass the puck and aren't exactly a heavy line that dominates the cycle at least. It's the dumbest line combination I can think of.

As I've said elsewhere, Tarasenko needs a playmaker with him and neither Mika nor Kreider is one

I mean, I think it would have more to do with us missing half of our top 4 defensemen.

We’re playing 5D tonight and one of them is Harpur and another is Schneider who looks like he forgot how to play hockey.

I mean I'm not saying that isn't a factor, but this effort is inexcusable no matter who is or isn't in in the lineup, and its becoming a habit more so than not.

The negativity is pretty yucky in here. The first period was good - we had numerous glorious chances that Hart came up big on and we had a lot of jump. Second period everyone came out like the ambien in their water bottle kicked in. Hopefully they’ve sweat it out by third period and bring a better effort. The sky is falling routine is getting old. The team has warts in their execution, including these inexplicable stretches of sleepwalking, but they also are playing short handed against a non-playoff team, have been short handed like a half dozen times and are down 1 goal. I bet they win.

I hope in these remaining games we experiment with splitting up the kids. We have the time to do it so might as well. The good thing is we can put them back together whenever and they will have chemistry (and, in my opinion, this will really show itself in the playoffs where these kids really bring their A-game) but I would like to see Kakko driving that possession with Mika and Kreids.

That Mika line would work if Kreider was playing like himself. Tarasenko can coast and find soft areas in that scenario no problem. The problem right now is Kreider is coasting worse than anyone. He’s not in on pucks, not forchecking, he’s not using his speed to open lanes. Idk wtf is going on with him but he’s the problem with that line not Tarasenko.

Tarasenko and Kane would be the best combination. Tarasenko and Panarin is the obvious choice. Kane should play with Zib and Kreider. I know he and Bread are boys, but personnel wise it makes more sense.

You have to be willing to take a bit of punishment to do that. He has shown very little desire to do that.

All the talk about our awful defense and goaltending, our offense is low key bottom of the f***ing barrel.

Our offense is best off the rush, and the Flyers are not giving us the space. Sam and Joe mentioned how all 5 players are staying back and not getting caught up ice.
