Serge Savard was a great skater. This is a take from an old-timer who watched him play: I honestly think Savard would have been ALMOST as good as Bobby Orr, had Savard not suffered two broken legs early in his career with the Canadiens. Truly.

When I first started watching the Habs thats one of the stories my dad told me about Serge breaking his leg twice. Savard actually scored 20 goals one year. He was ultra skilled. He decided to adjust his game to more defensive and let Larry play more of an offensive role. Great memories.
