He was playing well here. He had 14 pts in his last 20 games which is almost a 60 point pace, and that's on an overall poor offensive team like Montreal.

He also rallied late for Vegas last year.

Matheson in retrospect seems like a nice return for Petry under the circumstances. I'm wondering how the pens are feeling about Petry's play? I'm thinking probably not as favourable. Kent Hughes has shown a little bit of a midas touch with all his moves. Hopefully Gurianov pays similar dividends. Either way Weber's contract for Gurianov is all gravy anyway.
