It absolutely matters. His feet can precede the puck into the Zone if he has control of the puck which clearly he did. The play was not offside!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair he said it doesn't matter because he was in the zone before he got possession. Which is true, stick connected with the zone just after both skates crossed the line.

The offside challenge is a major turn off. Fans get so excited for a goal (A league that wants more goals) then it gets taken away. Because of a split second. Human error belongs in the game. This is a bad product.

The thing with me, it's obviously offsides...blow the whistle. It's like 1b umps that call a runner safe when he's out by 2 steps...what's the issue? Professional officials? Seems like quality has gone down.

No it's not. The linesman didn't call the infraction, then it wasn't offsides. Can we review calls that were wrongly called offsides when they weren't? Are they going to review hand passes in the neutral zone? Icings?

Penalties, for christ's sake. Anything more impactful than a guy slashing someone to get the puck and score? Or too many men, etc.

...

Are there stats kept on the goals allowed/disallowed via video review?

That's a legit call. Not debating that. We just always seem to end up on the wrong side of the decision.

It also felt like Julien challenged far less often than we had goals challenged. Hopefully Cassidy starts just throwing challenges around like confetti (then again, Ducks scored a goal we could've had overturned had he not "wasted" a challenge earlier which he probably should've won).

You could put four sheets of plywood in that net and brick. But with that defence it's over Did you see last nite and tonite the ease at opponents going to net with pucks?

Didn't watch the first but saw the highlight of their goal.

Has Doby been bad what's with the hate? Really pulling for him to do well we need him too. Any summaries of the period?

the problem is you only get one per game and if you use you can easily get screwed later on like last night.

Bruins are involved in 5.3 or so goals per game, not too many of them are ones you'd like to challenge. Depending on what time it is in the game, I'd be willing to more or less just take a gamble if there's any question whatsoever. Especially if you could use the timeout at that point. No way of knowing what will happen later anyway.

You have a good point it is a major turn off. I don't know but these off side challenges seem to happen a lot.
