That’s the good news.Well the good news is they won but the bad news is that they need to make a trade.

Hopefully that's the "slump" out of the way and the team gets back to good hockey. Felt like they got the 3-0 crashing the net. Got the lead and took the foot off of the gas. Didn't like the officiating but that's another issue....Glad to get back on the road

Agree that some time away from home might do them good.Glad to get back on the road
I would go back to Frank-Eller-Raddysh. Worked much better together and the Dowd-Duhaime pairing seems to not be affected by whoever is the third guy on that line. I also don't think the goal of the third line is to take advantage of mismatches but rather to have nothing happen on either end so you can load up an Ovi-Strome combo with even more cushy minutes.Raddysh second among forwards in 5v5 time tonight. I don't really know what they're doing with the lines overall. Putting McMichael back with PLD is the right call and sorts the top six. That's progress. But Mangiapane & Frank centered by Eller? Two small wingers that aren't dynamic at all, not possession players nor grinders. It's just not effective. It's not a line that's going to take advantage of mis-matches as it needs to be. Swap in Brock Nelson on that line and it's still going to be challenged probably. They should entertain swapping in Milano and Miro because they're probably better off.
They have two shutdown lines already! And how cushy do those minutes need to be for Strome to be effective 5v5?I also don't think the goal of the third line is to take advantage of mismatches but rather to have nothing happen on either end so you can load up an Ovi-Strome combo with even more cushy minutes.
He wouldn't hurt, particularly alongside Leonard down the line. Then they might have something. But I wouldn't expect Nelson or especially ROR or any of the grinder type depth Cs to crush it sort of by their lonesome in the meantime. They're going to need quality linemates and it seems like Frank's adrenaline is wearing off. He's hanging around but with just two points in 12 games he seems to be fading. Mangiapane also rarely flashes. There's not enough buzzing between the two to think their places are secure. Elevating Raddysh has been tried before and fizzled.I think a guy like Nelson makes a significant difference no matter who of that trio he comes in for.
who sits out?Agree that some time away from home might do them good.
Overall, to my eyes, they looked dangerous in the offensive zone all night (Ulmark was great) but their defensive coverage was sloppy and panicky. For all the talk of a top 6 forward (and I agree), I would like to see another reasonably solid defensive d-man.
2. Remind me again what Taylor Raddysh brings.
