I've noticed Scheifele getting annoyed with Ehlers at times when his plays don't work, could just be my imagination. Lots of rumors that he didn't like playing with Laine, despite the fact that he was most productive when he did. He seems to like his North-South game and having linemates that complement that.

I'd buy the Scheifele theory if Ehlers' ice time went up significantly with Scheifele out of the lineup but it really doesn't. Our coaching staff, both past and present just don't like his game.
