Overall very bad start to the game but they battled hard to get a point. Would not have expected a win tonight, even though it turned out to be a winnable game. Take the point and move on. We have a lot of home games down the stretch.

I look at the schedule and this “easiest strenght of schedule” for this team is absolute bullshit.

Next 10 we play the Rangers, the Wings, the Bruins, the Habs, the Leafs, the Avs and the Devils. Multiple teams we are battling with for a playoff spot. These games will probably be harder than against top teams given the implications.

This teams needs to go on a hot streak now because our future is out of our hands at this point. Just have to hope we are hotter than all those teams down the stretch and that won’t be easy.

We should check on Adrianopolis

Our depth is going to be a serious issue down the stretch. If we get one more injury you feel the gap between the replacement players is so significant it isn't even funny.

We already have guys barely hanging on in the top 6 like Perron and Giroux.

In order to make the playoffs we need to go get a guy who can replace Perron in the top-6. I know it's probably not gonna happen, but I don't see us sneaking in there with both him and Giroux on the top lines.

Why even bring him up. He does nothing whatsoever. At least Crookshank can forecheck and is a hound on the puck.
I think that the Sens have already decided that Crookshank isn't an NHL player. He was way down the list of recalls this season - Reinhardt, Ostapchuk, Jenik, and Highmore all came up ahead of him.

He's probably moving on as a UFA this summer.

We really shortened the bench in that one, and it paid off, but you can't do that every game. We had three guys with well below 10 minutes of ice time. Washington only had one player with less than 10 minutes, and he played 9:58. Depth is certainly an issue right now.

Watching the Leafs 4 on 3 in OT and it's such a difference. They have collapsed the Sharks more and really whip it around.

Which doesn't make sense though.
It's not unreasonable. I don't think he really has the skillset to play down a lineup.

He's not reliable defensively which really hurts him. He's a volume shooter which doesn't really lend itself to playing limited minutes. I'd be surprised if he ever stuck anywhere long-term at the NHL level.

Green loves his former Canucks.

Hamonic is a disaster but he's in the lineup every night.

Gaudette has 5 points in his last 29 games but hasn't been scratched once.

Highmore had 10 points in 23 AHL games and got a callup, has predictably done nothing to show he's an NHLer.

I'm getting Guy Boucher Tom Pyatt flashbacks..

It's really annoying how coaches hold on to these borderline players from old teams and try to will them into regulars.

It’s a code thing. They’ll lose with them before they win without them. And that compliance with the code is what gets them hired again
