Like it or not Georgiev is going to start games down the stretch. The ducks are struggling and if he sucks in this game, you might see Shesty in the next 3. If he does ok, that should allow us to rest Shesty in one of the weekends games. Either way, I’m fine with Georgiev playing 2 of the next 4. We’ll go as far as Shesty takes us anyways.
That’s fine. I don’t care for him either. However, we’ll go as far as Shesty can take us. He’s been good on both the road and at home. I’d rather he get some rest before we ride him like we rode Hank in the playoffs. Even if that means we play Georgiev in a few more games than I’d like.

Why start Georgiev? I’d rather Shesterkin get out of his slump ASAP rather than sit on the bench which would only induce anxiety for him.

I’d say Shesterkin getting out of a 2 game streak of giving up 4 goals is more important than actually winning. I would have started Igor here.
If anything I’m glad Georgiev starts tonight. Now I don’t have to worry about Georgiev starting against the islanders on Thursday.
