Post-Game Talk: Game 60: More Trouble At Home (12-15-3 ) Columbus 6 BRUINS 4 F

I agree the Hartnell thing SHOULD BE goalie interference. But according to the rules that brick and Jack refetenced, the refs did get it right. It's a poorly written rule, and frankly something I'm shocked I've never seen before prior to tonight.

I'm more passed at the Marchand thing. I want an actual explanation as to why he was kicked out. Did Rooney have his feelings hurt? Not like he shot it actually the refs/linesman. Get over yourself and stop trying to be bigger than the game Chris you ****ing chump.

It was incredibly unprofessional, the way the official reacted. Also embarrassing for his peers I'd like to hope.

Bruins battled but just struggle immensely against physical teams. Pretty good game towards the end.

Jack had the excuse machine going full force after the game. I'm paraphrasing, but he said something like,

"This game was one of those scripted losses, but the B's tried to change the script."

Some BS like that. I get that the first game off a long road trip is a tough game, but come on. I watch a game like tonight and day yeah, the effort was there, but they didn't get it done against a sub-.500 team.

And I'm supposed to believe this team has a legit shot at the Cup?

Even though I don't think the bruins are a true cup contender it is comments like this that are so far off base. What kind of results would you like me to show you. Hawks from last yr , should I list who Columbus and buffalo have beat this yr again. Everybody beats everyone in this league and when you are on a tough game coming off a road trip like this I know I didn't have two points circled. I also expect we will come back Wednesday and hopefully get two points but at least one.

p.s Hawks lost four in a row heading in to the playoffs last yr and lost at home to Columbus 5-2 on march 27th/ I would never ever even compare this team to the best team the last eight years but cmon we don't decide things on any game here or there.

why would you not trade Loui they are not fesible ti sign him to a 6 year deal and this team is not going anywhere at this point so you move Loui for whatever you can get for him

I'm so sick of everyone here giving up on this team. It is pathetic. They are the 3rd highest scoring team in the league and have a fantastic goalie. The east outside of Washington is a complete crap shoot this year. Outside of Washington, I'd say the Bruins could beat pretty much anyone else in the east in a 7 game series. Add a D man before the deadline, even more so. If you get a kings ransomed for him, go for it but if it is just a late first rounder I'd rather see them try and make a run with him.

Agreed. With Eriksson they are on the bubble and could fizzle out like last year again. This was a year to give some younger guys some time to develop and I think it's time for Morrow and C.Miller some serious minutes as the Bruins finish off the regular season.

We have a pretty steady lead over the Devils. If this team goes .500 for the rest of the year they most likely get in.

Agreed. We just beat Minnesota 4 -2 and then they beat Chicago 6-1. I guess that makes us a much better team than Chicago. There are no easy games in this league anymore.

GREAT POINT BUT their Pathetic home record does not make me think personally that they are going anywhere and they are also very capable of bowing out in the first round if they get there.
so i would be very happy moving Loui for aFirst rounder that we can bulid the future ITS ALSO PART OF THE BIGGER PICTURE

We should have been on this from day one. Claude decided he wanted to save his job. He is going to fail, as much as I love the Bruins in the PO's it's not going to happen. Get on with giving these guys as much ice time as they can get. Get Chiller back up here, let him play. Free the children...........enough of these over the hill vets it's over. Let's face it, it's over.

I dare you to say that to Bergy's face. I double dare you.

love that freaking tune,..... not loving the direction here though. We can't continue to lose games like these. Tonight, I honestly think it's the last nail in the coffin so to speak. We would have had a very hard time of it even winning this game but this is the drop that overflows the glass, no doubt in mind now. As of tonight I am officially in the sell camp.

I am still not certain where this team stands, I want to see what comes out of the trade dead line.
It has been a real bi-polar season for me following this team.

Well I guess that is true, but it's going to have to be some pretty wild **** going down if they are going to make a splash. I'm not sure what the cost would be for that to happen, and I'm even less sure it's the right way to go at this point.

I like what DS did this summer, maybe he can do a repeat performance. Just hope he doesn't lose focus.

Ds has shown he can think outside the box, fingers crossed but I'm not holding my breath on this one.

While I would usually agree with you about this two things scare me:

1. Last years lead on Ottawa at this time.
2. Bruins play 15 of their last 22 games against playoff teams.

Their finish last year PAIRED with their abysmal play this year against playoff teams has me thinking that this team comes up short IF they don't get someone to play in the top pairing at the deadline.

This team can still make the playoffs without Loui. Just cause he is traded means they aren't going to make it. So giving up Loui doesn't mean giving up totally.

Agreed. In fact I believe that this team can actually be stronger with an addition to the top pairing in Boston even with Eriksson departing. That hole on the back end bleeds out more losses and GA than what Eriksson brings in. It's that bad but a smart move here by Sweeney can solidify the playoff spot and make this team a dangerous opponent in the first round.
