Pearson is just not a NHL player at this point. I give Sutter some credit for trying the kid.
Lets see how long they stay with him, but he looks over matched everywhere on the ice.

I don't get what the organization is trying to do with Pearson, it's obvious he's not ready for the NHL, yet we keep bringing him up.

I was counting on the break giving the team more jump. Avs are a good team, but yeah, this is Murray-level-lifelessness. Maybe they just need a period or game to get their legs back, but This is starting to have a dark feeling.

It's why I always call for more AHL games with these young guys.
It can't hurt them to play a lot of AHL games.

It's so sad. I don't get how a team can fall so quickly out of grace. Skating legs? I doubt it, it's the first game back, they should be flying.
Kings are heading down the canes path after winning the cup.

2-1 Avs after one period. LAK continue to look like an uninspired team. Nothing has really changed with the Olympic break.

It was an idea. I didn't say it was a good idea.
It's worth giving the rookies a try to inject some spunk into this team. I hope it's a short experiment with Pearson. He needs a lot of work.

That first period was literally unacceptable...Guys need to start losing their jobs. Alec Martinez should be playing...Pearson is slow and weak, looked way over-matched in that period against Duchene. Wake up Drew...you're a normal player again with Muzzin.
