There was quite a few decent players that draft produced. he might be among the better centers, but he's not in the running for best players from that draft. There was quite a few good defensemen in that draft.

Slavin, Lindell, Rielly, Forsberg, Wilson and Hertl all came out of that draft.

As did Severson, Teravainen, Ghost, Parayko, and Lindholm.

After looking it up
so did Trouba, Stephenson, Pearson, Kerfoot, Skjei, Laughton, Brown, Anderson.
Plus a bunch of other decent NHL talent.

Faksa is probably the 10-15th best center, but probably in the 30's for talent from the draft (excluding goalies)
You just made a list of a bunch of middling dudes. Solid NHLers but not great players. That's an ugly draft. There won't be one guy even considered for the Hall of Fame from this group of skaters.

If those dudes were all on the same team at their peak, you're talking about a team finishing four spots out of a Wild Card spot.

You think Slavin is nothing more than a solid NHLer?
Slavin, Reilly, Lindholm, Severson and Parayko are all top 4 d-men today. Hell Slavin today is what we all wish Lindell would be.
Trouba at his peak was also a 2nd pairing guy.

Forsberg is a pretty consistent 30g 60+p player with multiple 40g, seasons. He even flirted with 50g. Injuries have derailed quite a few of his seasons, all the while playing for routinely garbage Nashville teams. Your definition of middling is crazy.
Teravainen has been a consistent 20g-60p guy for most of his career too.
Sure there's not a lot of strong forwards in that group, but you can find a lot of 20+g 50p guys

At their peak, a team made up from the 2012 draft, would absolutely be a PO team, better than any team the Wild have trotted out for instance. Sure they wouldn't have a Kaprizov level talent, but more solid top to bottom.
They'd have the deepest d-core in the NHL (again assuming everyone at peak) and hall of fame goalie to backstop it.

No individual hall of famers outside of the goaltenders, but Hall of famers is an overrated metric.
The Stars currently don't have a single player that would make the hall of fame, doesn't mean they're a terrible team

That's a team with a bottom third offense. If those forwards are your best players, your team sucks.
We'll agree to disagree. We've seen Nashville make the PO with Forsberg as it's best forward.
Forsberg, Josi, Saaros and a bunch of garbage have made the PO.
That team with that defense and peak vasilevakiy is a PO team regardless of how weak the 9-10 other forwards are.

The list wasn't good players anyway, it was players better than Faksa, it was a short list of skaters, of which their are plenty more. . He was never in the running for best skaters from that draft and never will be.
