Really becoming a fan of Walman

Despite the score I think this has been one of the Sharks' better games this year. They are keeping it close, having some zone pressure this period and it's against a team we know is a lot better than thier record says. The Sharks are putting in a better effort against the Avs than the 49ers put in against the Chiefs today, and last night I was thinking the opposite would be true.

I expected little vs. the Chiefs and was disappointed anyway. I didn't bother turning it back on after halftime.

Amazing how competent our Defense looks when Matt Benning isn't out there constantly f***ing up.

If we could get competent guys in Benning and Rutta's place, it would make a huge difference.

Smith needs to watch Granlund play every shift. He never gives up on a play while being so skilled, I really would love to keep him (unless someone is offering a 1st).

The Avs leave a lot to be desired at 5v5.

I know they have their share of injuries as well but their start this season looks brutal

I am not liking the powerplays and who is getting the ice time during them. It is the one time that smith should be top unit for, it's where his creativity with the puck should shine even if he is a little slow at reacting on the ice.

I think the Sharks are actually playing pretty well this game it’s a game we could’ve won with Celebrini and Muhk, maybe. It’s sort of as we all thought: our defense is so awful it kneecaps the entire team.
