I know its early, but Dobes is not showing he's ready to play at this level. I have zero faith when he's in net.

That's why MTL can't take a chance to lose Primeau the way Dobes is playing. If Allen get injured you can't bring a guy like that in.

On the official site, he has an assist.
Bum needs to hold off on those lazy one-point games if he wants kepis 2 PPG going. This has to be his last night off, or he really needs get more of those 5-point games under his belt. ;)

this team isn't boring, they can't play defense for shit and goaltending has been a big issue, but the offense is fun to watch. While Roy is getting the hype for his insane production, Farrell has been picking it up nicely as he could have easily had 3 points tonight.

I was not in favor of putting all the top vets on the top line and having the 2 rookies with Condotta but it's working as he will play hard and grind it out while Farrell and Roy both make things happen consistently when they are on the ice with their ability to move the puck.

With Mailloux getting goals in back to back games, and Roy/Farrell looking good it should be a lot of fun to watch this team. At some point they will need to do something about Dobes though, as I can't think him giving up 6 goals a game is something they want to see for too much longer. I am in utter shock as I thought he would come in and look at least on the level of Primeau's rookie year.

Very disappointed in most of the defense though. Trudeau with another brutal game, don't get how he continues on the top pairing and PP. None of them impressed me tonight, Struble has been the best but not a very good game from him, dumb penalty that led to a goal. Norlinder still plays defense like he doesn't have a care in the world.

Does anyone know what Hal Gil is up to these days, maybe they can get him out of retirement to help tighten things up as this is really bad with how many games now this team has just been totally shit defensively at times. When you have the 3rd or 4th youngest team in the AHL (.01 dif) you have to expect ups and downs but this just looks bad.

Andersson must be playing good, 7 goals in 6 games

I'd give it a few more games on Dobes - really he's been stellar in instances where he's needed to be stellar and just bad when things have needed to be routine.

Things probably moving a little bit into overthinking territory when he has time and when he allows his instincts to take over, he does really well.

If we had signed a goalie vet, people would be shouting their lungs out that they were blocking Dobes. I still think they should have tried to pass Primeau on waivers.
Every promising young goalie prospect has a veteran to help him. Primeau had Lindgren and Poulin.

Lias Andy, does he has a chance? Did he only have a bad camp or is he the ultimate AHL player that can't translate it to the NHL?
