I get that he's been off our radar for quite some time, but there is a serious lackage of David Quinn avatars on this board, just sayin. That man's expressions behind the bench alone are worth the price of HF registration

edit: no babe threads, understood
I don't know if I want to relive that part of my life. I've moved on.

I missed last game because I was on the phone for 4 hours with an old friend. Of course, they win - Chytil 3 assists, Laf and Kakko goals...

Needless to say, I'll be looking for people to call tonight.

Let's see if we can make this happen.

  • The reason the Blueshirts will start at 7:45 MDT/9:45 ET is because on Tuesday all 32 NHL teams will be in action, with each game starting at a different time.

  • According to NHL Edge, the Rangers have spent the second most percentage of time in the offensive zone in the NHL with a 44.5 percent clip and third fewest time in the defensive zone (37.8%).
  • New York’s 2.40 GA/GP are the sixth fewest in the league.
  • The Blueshirts’ 12 goals on the road are tied for the third most in the NHL.
  • The Rangers are 1-0-0 against Pacific Division teams thus far. They had a 11-2-3 record last season against Pacific Division teams and overall against the Western Conference, New York had a 21-6-5 mark in 2022-23.
  • On Saturday night, New York’s AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack, became the ninth team in league history to win 1,000 games as a franchise. The team has began the season 4-0-0 for its best start since the 2004-05 campaign.

RANGERS AND FLAMES CONNECTIONS

  • Rasmus Andersson is the son of Peter Andersson, who played with the Rangers for parts of two seasons (1992-93 and 1993-94), and the brother of Calle Andersson, who was selected by the Rangers in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
  • Rangers associate coach Phil Housley played parts of five seasons for the Flames (1994-95 – 1995-96, 1998-99 – 2000-01).

Do we get the blue collar hard working Laf?

Or the floaty invisible Laf?

---------

Meanwhile our hopes an dreams for Laf:

The perfect piano medley for Laf would be this and a seque to the Halloween theme.

The split screen of Banner and the Hulk in the intro scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid.

That Carolina forecheck. It's nice to see us at #2. But it's crazy how Carolina is even so far ahead of #2. All that time in the O zone for us, we gotta start turning that into goals on a more consistent basis.
and they have given up 30 goals in their first 6 games .
