The way he struggled to keep the puck and wasn't strong on his stick, I was guessing an upper body injury. But no one is hinting at it and his coach is calling him out... so maybe not.Larkin was brutal. Been looking gassed. Hard to win with Copp and Ras out and Larks being this bad.
Larkin looked like he was playing with a brain injury last night. Just awful. They should have sent him to the showers after the first period. I say this as a big fan. I expect a much better game Saturday.Called out Larks and unnamed other big players for not showing up, and didn't allow for a 4 nations excuse.
Oh, worst game for a while.
We were just collectively bad, every line, every D-pair.
They need to rebound from this.
McLellan used some new lines in the end, did give rest for Larkin and Raymond, when the game was "over". 2nd Compher line did get most ice-time in the end.
DeBrincat - Compher - Kane
Söderblom - Larkin - Tarasenko
Berggren - Kasper - Raymond
Motte - Veleno - Fischer
That was my take too, but if he is gassed, he has played a lot of hockey this past month, now is the time to find him some rest, especially if Ras is back. Not saying sit him, but maybe some fewer minutes next game then an extra rest day. (After Saturday the next game is home with the Canes coming to town)The way he struggled to keep the puck and wasn't strong on his stick, I was guessing an upper body injury.
