Having a young guy like Othmann not know if he's playing until game time seems like a silly way to run things IMO.
Yes, everyone should be ready to go every night, but it's much easier to be in the right physical and mental space regarding preparation, etc, when you know what's going on.
It's a small thing, but there appear to be a lot of small things this org does that goes against what might be considered 'best practice'

25 games left, you likely need 35 points in those games to have better than a coin flip's chance. That's 17-7-1 or 15-5-5, but you have to think winning at least 2/3 including the games against CBJ is the only way in.
Hard to believe we have more regulation losses in 2/3rds of a season (25) than we had all last season (23)

Following for 50 + seasons with 95% on bad AM radio for almost half the first 50 yrs....and then investing 5000.00 in a big satellite dish for one cup I guess was priceless . This Ranger hockey today though is very hard to watch being slow and boring with no animosity /carry over from a previous game anymore . The NHL regular season is a bad product . They play at least 10 games too many and not enough division rivalries any more ......BETTMAN....IT SUCKS !!! Rant over ....Go Rangers !
