I'd trade Brown well before Richards. He's been absolute crap the entire season. Least Richards had his moments in the first half.

They have both been crap all season and getting worse. And it goes far far beyond point totals with these two, they both are just totally ineffective hockey players. When was the last time either one had a dominant physical game.

We are in really really bad shape with these two guys, real bad.

You act like it's impossible to trade them. Tons of teams would line up for either player if Dean was seriously considering trading one or both.

I can't believe people are still surprised.

When you have one capable line you are going to struggle to score goals. And when that one line struggles you get dominated like the Kings were

That is why I don't even want to make any trades at this point, it's like putting a band-aid on a broken leg. Adding Sam Gagner, Mike Cammalleri, Matt Moulson or anyone like that is not going to make this team into a contender.

I'm with you on this one, this team using going to do anything this year. Start thinking about near future, and trade expendable players without blowing the whole thing up.

I dont disagree with you about having only one capable line, but why would you be against bringing in some more offense. Lets assume it was Gagner for Clifford +. Not a superstar of course but certainly that makes the bottom 6 more dangerous offensively.

If you think this team lacks capable lines how would you go about fixing that without a trade?

The entire team blows yet its always the same 2 players fault.

Could point to a lot of wrongs in that period, like the dumbasses not paying attention when jumping on to the ice when they committed two bench minors for too many men. Toffoli had a dreadful period, Quick should've stopped the shot he faced, Brown being Brown by mishandling the puck, Williams doing the same in mishandling the puck on an outnumbered attack, Kings panic more than the Blue Jackets when they saw a gaping wide net right in front of them...

Pretty much, me.

Maybe, and only because the cap is going up.

I still have a hard time believing teams would be "lining up" to take on the contracts of these two players approaching 30 years old, the Kings might get a few bites, but "lining up" I doubt it.

Would teams be lining up for 2012 Dustin Brown and 2010 Mike Richards? Absolutely.

But most GM's care more about what the player is going to do going forward, not what they did 2-3 years ago.

Passing it back to the point from down below works really well when not only does the shot not end up on net but never even makes it there!
