We'll be moving to 3 on 3 soon enough, to make shootouts rarer. But the Jackets are 4-2 in shootouts this year so it's not unlike they disadvantage us, it's just not the best way to decide a game.

Well we gained a point on Florida, I would have taken that in a heartbeat when it was 3-0, I think I would have gone with Arty as the third shooter, he played well and it was his old team and he's good on the shootouts

Well, we got a point at least . Being down 3-0 that is an accomplishment.

Great effort to come back in this one. Unfortunately, one point is not much help now.

Scouting report is in on Cam in the shootout. Easy poke check by Talbot. 1-for-6 on the season after having success last season.

Joey hitting the crossbar sucks. Nash getting the decider also sucks.

Was a great game Jackets, you guys are one tough and resilient bunch. Oh and we were biting our nails even more than you guys were during the SO because Talbot has to be the worst goalie in shootout history in that regard. GG

It's like the season keeps saying "no, it's not your year" and the CBJ refuse to accept it. I can respect that.

It does speak well to the coaching staff and the players. I may not like how things are shaking out this year, but I can respect the roster.

Agree, but, when will the Blue Jackets come out winning in October and November....??????????????

Forget players, forget injuries, forget stupid General Managers.... Try winning in October and November for a change Wizard of Oz John Davidson... !!!

Do it...

#CBJ coach Todd Richards on Wisniewski scratch: "We want him to be better. I'm not going to get into it with you guys."

Arty played himself a heck of a game tonight

If he keeps playing like this, I think we should hang onto him heading into next season

I told my girlfriend right before he shot that he would over stick handle it and lose it without getting a shot, he tends to do that a lot.

Me too, barring a really great offer.

It's a difficult matter with Arty, obviously this year he's played better as he's gotten healthier, but he's also never been a consistent scorer. I don't know if he's ever played a year without long stretches where he has zero production. Is he always going to be like that? Or is he just late to reach peak form?

Joey plays "long stretches" without scoring. Pretty much everyone not named Ovekchin or Nash go long periods without scoring.

In fact, Joey is in a stretch were he is not helping very much. It happens to almost all players other than the extraordinary few.

This post prompted me to look up Johansen's scoreless streaks this year.

Johansen has now gone 3 games without a point. It's the second time that he's done that this season.

Foligno has had one 3 game scoreless streak this season.

CBJ third leading scorer (Hartnell) has had a 10 game scoreless drought.

Dubinski's longest scoreless streak this season is 5.

Wennberg has had scoreless streaks of 7,8, and 10 games.

You mean to tell me you don't think Anisimov is an especially streaky player? I thought that was a well established fact around here.
