No. What we're seeing from Krejci is something we've seen before and as recently as this year. Hot/cold, streaky/invisible. He's had three separate streaks where he's picked up 5 points in 3 games this season ( including the one he's on right now ).

He looks impressive right now, but he's also playing with Pastrnak, who's playing out of this world this season. Add that to the natural fire that gets lit when a coach gets fired, and you have a guy who's playing to stay on top of his game. But he's been there before this season. I hope he keeps it up.

Sure, but DK and Pasta have played together this year and not looked good too. I think the switch from funneling the puck back to the point to attacking the net is the reason for the change in optics. And yeah, DK will get hot and cool off, but again, it's not about points or being streaky. It's about playing with desire. Right now, DK is feeling it for whatever reason you want to attribute it to. I'm just hoping it carries over to this road trip.

Having a 3rd guy on the line who can actually do something with the puck is also making a tremendous difference.

Absolutely. That's the thing. If you're going to roll with depth over high end talent, you have to actually have the depth. Rolling out a 3rd line with no chance of scoring like they've done for most of the year, undermines that philosophy.
