Didn't get to watch the game, but saw the highlights.
One silver lining was the start of the game. That was a glimpse of what Sharks should be in the near future. The other part of the game went more with how the things have been going lately.
This break came in a really important time. They need to reflect on the season and get a clear look at the future.
Management, coaching staff and players should take a good look of what is going on. It's crucial they go into the last part of the season with a new season mentality.
I even think that if there are trades that need to be done, they should be done fairly soon into the break. So when they come back, they are set to battle with that group and maybe even get some good morale wins.
Before I get any tanking or draft comments, I want to address that by now we know they can be drafting top 3 without trying to "tank".
I want to see fun hockey with them being happy and changing the culture before next season. Now it's time for the "Eklund hattrick game on a hat day" and "Celebrini game winner on OT" type of moments.
I hope they have a good break and get back to a really strong end of the season, not because necessary needing wins but because of the future.
