The NMC to Hamonic for 2 years is wild.
I can't imagine anyone would offer him 2 years, let alone a NMC. I don't get Pierre/DJ. You tell Hamonic it's 1 year for $1M or he can walk. What's he going to do? And if he does walk who cares?

Consider Dorion's last desperation moves and they were pretty much all brutal aside from Tarasenko for 1 year.

Chychrun (redundant), Hamonic, Gus/Talbot/Korpisalo, Debrincat trades etc.

It's going to take years to properly clean up his mess.

Only his last desperation moves? You're being generous.

Hamonic has been brutal the last couple games, I though he was fine as a 7 but I'm questioning that now.

If Dorion hadn't buggered up the cap at least we could call up Guénette or Kleven,

Maybe he will just retire.
I've been thinking about this.

I see Hamonic as a competitive and intrinsically motivated guy, and I think being flat out not good enough would be tough on him. On the other hand, he consistently prioritizes his family. As much as he's had a lucrative career, an extra million bucks is more than just a drop in the bucket.

Maybe they give him a job in the organization? Pay him the 1 million? Doesn't have to pay escrow?

Hamonic falls but how many plays did Josi beat up the ice. Tarasenko and Pinto must have felt a pretty good breeze as Jodi flew by.
That shit happens. You need your d to not fall on their face. A play like that completely negates a back check anyway lol.

sweet jesus, that little kid was adorable
Really nice video. The joy on Jacques face as he read out the lineup made me smile. We're lucky to have had him around for so much of our history... just a very decent man.

I'm all for it. He can't play right now and I think thats gonna be pretty clear to everyone.

If they knew Hamonic was gonna fall they probably would have gotten in Josi's way a little more.

Sure and Josi is next to Mcdonaugh when he the play starts. Josi is the 2nd wave of attack. Plays like that are going to be trouble even if the D stays on their feet because they are outnumbered and against speed. Novak pulls Hamonic to the middle to create that one for an impeded Josi. It’s trouble wether Hamonic falls or not.
