Really hope this kills all the fans who want Zegras as a Wing... something about his attitude and play style drives me nuts. Maybe im just getting old.

I don't really have a strong opinion of Zegras either way other than when I've heard him talk, the dude seems really not smart. And some of that seems to be reflected in his on-ice decisions.

Yea I know it has worked before, I'm just not sure it plays to our strengths. The team does not play well when they are hemmed in their own zone, and inducing that by attempting 200 ft shots just seems crazy. Throw in the fact our PK is last in the league, and just can't get behind a strategy that keeps us on the defense.

I didn't want him on the Wings. I will say I was shocked when we took Seider over him that year. I really thought that was the direction they would have gone. I have not thought about him much since, laughed some at Torts calling out his lacrosse goal, and then moved on. However, watching him say "No way, no way, no way" while watching the replay of his hit rubbed me the wrong way. Hopefully right now he is writing that down in his notes for his defense at his hearing. Maybe I am getting old too, who knows.
You could see the fear in his eyes after he realized what he have done.
For Rasmussen it's the 3rd injury in 3 years at the end of the season, some said two years ago the standing could have been closer to the PO with him in the line up.
Without his finishing problem against the Wild and yesterday he played well in both games and was positive on faceoffs.

Well that was quite the game to go to. Felt like it should have been 7 to 2 - thought the Wings looked dominant most of the night. I thought the first and second lines looked really good, with Compher and Kane being pleasant surprises. Soderblom just erases plays with his reach. The 4th line is just... there.
Also, I feel like Cat isn't getting his due for this year. Trending close to 40 goals and at least when I watch him is a pain in the ass to play against, well, relatively speaking.

We now have allowed the opponents to get back in the game with a 2/3 goals lead.
In this game with 7 min to go Johansson dumped the puck and went all the way behind their goal. I was it was a smart play. Redmond commented and thought it was a bad play. No, Mickey Redmond was wrong. You cant sit and protect the lead with 7 min to go. You can do it with 2-3 min to go, but not 7.
Is Lyon bad at tracking long shots? He has allowed like 50% of the goals scored from the distance.

I find lyon plays better on the road. Seems to let in soft goals at home. For whatever reason.

Have to admit I am a little bit surprised they actually followed through with a suspension, especially three games. I mean, it's obviously the right call, but my faith in the player safety clown-show crew is pretty limited.
I think he has allowed remarkably many long shot goals. Mclellan pulled him thevother day, just after 2 goals and maybe 5 min into the game. In this game he allowed 3 long distance goals. He did make a gwg save though.
I believe the fans have been saying that this is a bush league for about 20 years now. Maybe the league needs doge too.
