The team has quit on themselves. Opposite of what we saw most of the year. Very disturbing. Zero emotion from anybody. Way too many passengers.

When you are coached to play emotionless hockey is that a surprise? When Connor showed emotion he got a 3 game suspension.

McD hasn’t really been the problem this game.

He hasnt been the solution either though.
He is rocking 18 points in 17 games so far this calender year.
But no forward has been good enough other than Draisaitl. Nothings working right now, d and g included.

Putrid job by our forwards tbch. I never feel like they're gonna score when they have a chance, meanwhile I assume the other team will score on every single shot. Although a symptom of that is both of our goaltenders being terrible.

Sure but any goalie would get lit up with this team atm.

Why because two backups have gotten lit up in the last couple games? If we had any starter from the other 8 best teams in the league and this was happening I'd agree but basing this opinion off two borderline NHL goalies isn't reasonable.

He needed to improve its obvious deficiencies: top four D, middle six winger depth, and goal. He has so far done… none of those things… and is rapidly running out of time.

No way yesterday. Today maybe.

Yesterday the Oilers played a worse team and played worse, gave up so many odd man situations and philly isolated players by the net. These two games have been awful.

No goalie helps win either of these games. The team overall ( every player) is playing the worst they've played in years. It was easy to excuse yesterday as a one off, but with this game you can't. Team needs to look in the mirror and find a way to get back in the game.

Over the last month the team plays like they hook up to a morphine drip as part of their pre-game warm-up.

Everything about their game wreaks of contentment. The worst part for me is that is seems to start with McDavid. He's been playing like he's just out there to kill time. How many times this season have you seen him put in some second effort? He's coasting around, bobbling pucks, forcing passes, refusing to shoot the puck...

The team needs a shake-up in a major way.
