I think everyone's made up their mind by now in the Doughty/Karlsson debate, one way or the other. It's like politics. Nothing will convince anyone on the other side of anything.

I will say at least around here, people are willing to debate.
The Media/voters, not so much, and that's a problem. They've made up their minds on what kind of d-man they like, don't' want to talk about it, and aren't willing to budge. Hell, Kronwall got a 1st place vote last year.
Edit: I take that back...some media will talk incessantly about what they DONT like.

Brian Elliott is starting. Blues looking for their fourth straight win, Kings trying to avoid a three-game losing streak.
Updated the lines. Not sure about that Pearson - Lecavalier - Lewis line. Seems like a whole lotta vanilla hockey there.
Ooh, a starting goalie? Haven't seen one of those in a while.
We should feel pretty good about this one.

So many jinxes ready for STL!
" The Blues are 21-8-4 against the Western Conference and 8-2-1 against the Pacific Division. … In his last three starts against Los Angeles, Brian Elliott is 2-0-1 with a 0.32 goals-against average, a .987 save percentage and two shutouts. He ranks first in franchise history with 22 shutouts. … St. Louis is 5-1-1 since the All-Star Break. … The Blues have allowed one power play goal in their last 32 shorthanded situations. They have killed off 18 straight power plays. … After an eight-game drought, St. Louis’ power play is six-for-18, having scored in four of the last five games"
Milestone alert: "With 198 career goals, David Backes is two goals shy of 200"
Ehh, Allen is 'the starter,' but who really knows anymore.

I was pissed when PK won a couple of years ago and when Karlsson won last year, however this year (even though Drew is having a better year) I get the Karlsson love more than other years.
He is not only putting up the most points among d-men, but putting up points at a historic pace.
That said I still like Drew over Karlsson...but I am 100% sure I have bias. What pisses me off is when the Karlsson Ottawa fans do not recognize they likely have a bias.
This is awesome but I do not think I am doing it right:
Back up Goalie (debatable) 20%
+PLayer milestone 5%
+Past Playoff 5%
Equals 30%
30% x 0.5 (Dustin Brown) = 45%
45% x 2 (Dwight King) = 90%
How do you get 70%?

When looking at EK right now my biggest issue is the fact his team is out of the playoffs. And no winner has ever not made the playoffs. And I'm not sure this is the year to break that or not.
