Life in the Laine Lane

I thought Stutzle fumbled the puck into the corner with the way Monty reacted. That was awful.

It was. Stutzle had no room. Matheson was forcing him away from center to the side & Montembeault just never adjusted.

It was a bad play at the blueline by Matheson, but he recovered well. That was seriously poorly played by Montembeault. No way Stutzle should have walked him like that.

I don't even know what Montembeault was doing on that. He's way too far out of his net.

I think Stutzle was going to do something else that Monty was following. Then Matheson made actually a good play to tie Stutzle's stick up partially. That ended up changing Stutzle's move out of nowhere. Monty's body weight was positioned for something else and was caught flat footed

...too many hot dogs in the Press Box for Monty at the 4 Nations...

It’s a breakaway so I don’t like blaming the goalie on plays like that. But Montie played it very poorly.

Going from Price to that level of goaltending is really hurting my eyes.

One thing I've noticed during montembeault's recent struggles that he's very slow in reacting to loose pucks around him. He seems to zig when should be zagging and he can't recover in time.
