When have you ever known the Bruins to sell? There is no realistic scenario possible where they sell. Doesn’t matter what we want them to do. They’re going to buy and see if they can get to the first round. Doesn’t matter if the PK sucks, their differential sucks, their coach sucks or their road record sucks.
Buy what? They are jammed against the cap so they will need retention no doubt by someone if they are actually thinking this way.

Seems like a weird year. I’m off base I’m sure with thinking this but I feel like
Monty quit on them, Sweeney did the easy thing and fired the coach and made a waiver claim and went back to his four nations stuff, he hasn’t markedly improved them which tells you how he feels about them, and the players just kind of mail it in too much now. They self destruct when it gets tight

All good things come to an end so I get it. It’s just sports. Hoping if they don’t fire management they at least reshuffle
And bring on a GM from the outside. These players are stale. They aren’t good enough to have this belief on them management seems to have

Hoping like hell they catch fire at the right time and go on a roll but not likely. I really hope they sell as much as they can and really shake things up
Monty quit on this team in the offseason and just went through the motions of training camp. Add in the Swayman shit and Marchand and E. Lindholm coming back from injuries. The team was doomed from the very beginning.

If Monty wanted out, do it before camp. He 100% colluded with St. Louis so he could go home. He doesn’t get criticized enough for what he did and how he set this team up for failure.

I’ll have you know that Jam is an underrated skill set.
lol fair enough.

Would be nice if they could ever find guys to pair said ‘jam’ with ‘hands’ or ‘speed’ or ‘skill’ or ‘basic hockey instincts like not skating towards a player already covered by a defender leaving your man open on a consistent basis’

This is the result when you have a team that is weak in talent, mentally weak, and plays with no heart. At least this year, we won’t have to watch them choke in the playoffs. Which the Bruins are known for.
That's the actual culture now in Boston.

Chokers.

Selling or buying?
To me selling is getting rid of certain players in exchange for draft choices.
To me buying is getting rid of certain players in exchange for other established NHL players.

If the above is incorrect, please let me know.
Worse.

Standing pat. No trades this year while dozens of teams in equal or worse cap situations make moves to improve their franchise.

Few want to admit it, but squeezing into the playoffs (and inevitably losing, quickly, in the first round) will have every single person on this board right back here next year, complaining about the same shit. Book it (see what I did there?).

They need to lose, take out the trash and start over. Nothing good is going to come from even moderate success from here on out. There needs to be a new direction.
Fire the president and GM. Let the new GM come in and fire the coaching staff.

Then let the new GM sell off talent or re-tool.

This group is done.

Lysell or merk have to be better ten walshstrom beecher I will never understand
If you lose Beecher though that would really effect their, checks notes, 22nd rank pk which in turn would really damage their, notes, 23rd rank save percentage which would certainly make their, facking note, 23rd ranked goals against worse

So you see, too much risk to make that kinda change.

This current B's team isn't good enough to be chokers. Now the 2022-23 team, that definitely defines choking.

Since then.

When you watch a Bruins game now here is what you feel and expect:

1. Bruins get a PP, you're going to be pissed in 2:01.
2. Bruins last two minutes in any period: goal against.
3. 6 of the Bruins forwards 'almost' (don't kid yourselves, they just choke) score on a chance but they 'got a bad bounce'.
4. No trade.
5. No change.
6. At the end of the game, you're here angry and wish you didn't watch because you should have known 1-5 was going to happen again.
BONUS: Pastrnak will look even more fed up after each game.
