Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Could just call up Aaron Dell the rest of the year but that would make the tank job seem obvious.
Mike could realistically sell any move as something other than tanking. Keeping Askarov down he can say it’s important for the kids in the AHL to get a real shot.

I’m pretty sure we’re passed “trying to tank” - mission is accomplished. And I do agree that it would be helpful for Askarov to play meaningful AHL games over playing with the NHL club.
Unrelated to that, if Vanacek is cool with it, I’d keep him as Askarov’s backup next year, he’s been fairly solid this season.
I have no issue with this. We'd probably have to give him 4 or so because he'll have offers from better teams.
