You know, maybe I'm just plain wrong, but this seems like the first national broadcast I've watched/listened to in about 15 years where the Wings aren't being treated like the broadcast team is
a) surprised that the Wings were one of the teams involved
b) surprised that the Wings can play hockey at all.

I'm fine with anyone taking exception to a hard but clean hit. Make the guy understand there are consequences for lining your guys up.

My biggest problem is there's a big hit, they take exception to it, there's a scrum, and the refs even it up with the calls. That's just annoying.

But in general, if you know you're going to put your team short-handed and want to make a point after your guy gets drilled, go for it
